Communities are in need of student scholars, activists and community workers who can demonstrate knowledge and skills in articulating Islam’s position on non-violence and peace, partake in community conversations, partake in collaborative research, and serve in leadership, faculty and/or community roles.
In order to assume these diverse roles, a process of educational socialization must occur.
This course provides the essential skills necessary to begin to develop students into practical nonviolence peace practitioners.
